Hi, Forest Creek! I’m Kira Sikes, your neighbor, Board Director, and the person who hears “we should do something fun” and immediately starts thinking about decorations, snacks, and whether we need a sign-up sheet.
I love creating things, bringing people together, and finding a reason to celebrate. Helping coordinate Social Events felt like a natural fit—and a productive place to put my enthusiasm before my family gets assigned another project.
My hope is simple: let’s make Forest Creek feel more like a community.
Why knowing your neighbors matters
There’s something comforting about having familiar faces nearby. A quick hello can turn into a conversation, a friendship, or someone you can ask, “Did that package end up at your door?”
Community gatherings give us an easy way to make those connections. No elaborate introductions required. Sometimes a game, a snack, or a friendly competition does the work for us.
Whether you own your home or rent here, you belong here. Our Social Events are for the people who make Forest Creek home. Longtime residents, new arrivals, owners, and tenants all help shape the kind of neighborhood we become.
First up: let’s make Forest Creek sparkle!
We’re kicking things off with our Winter Patio & Front Door Decorating Contest!
Bring some seasonal personality to your front door or patio. Whether your style is elegant and understated or “I may have purchased one more strand of lights,” we’re excited to see your creativity.
Decorating dates: December 1–31, 2026
Judging: Friday, January 8, 2027
Winners announced: Monday, January 11, 2027
Gift card prizes: First place $25, second place $15, and third place $10
No sign-up or photo submission is needed! All decorated front doors and patios will automatically be included.
Any winter or holiday theme is welcome. Please follow Forest Creek’s Decorating Resolution as you decorate.
We’re also planning holiday decorations at the main entrance by December 1 to help welcome everyone home with a little extra cheer.

We’re looking forward to starting the year with opportunities to connect, including:
Bingo Night
An easygoing evening of games, laughs, and friendly competition. Come meet a few neighbors—and discover who takes bingo surprisingly seriously.
Spring Egg Hunt
Meet Your Neighbors gathering is also on our spring planning list. We’ll share confirmed dates, locations, and participation details as plans are finalized, followed by more activities throughout the year.
A cheerful gathering for our younger neighbors and their families, with opportunities to meet other households while the kids enjoy the hunt.
A Spring Kickoff
